Ohio Veterinary Medical License by Examination
- Requirements
- Attendees of an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Complete an application.
- Request an official transcript to be sent to the OVMLB, and include a copy of your diploma. If these materials are not yet available to you, you may have the dean of your college submit a letter to the attesting to your pending/recent graduation.
- Three reference letters.
- If you hold a license from another state, you must request each state to submit these materials to the OVMLB.
- You must have met the state's requirements on your examinations.
- Complete an Ohio and FBI criminal background check.
- Remit required fee.
- Foreign graduates
- Complete the AVMA ECFVG program
- Complete 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 above.
- Attendees of an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Application
- Renewal
- Licenses expire biennially on the first day of March in even-numbered years.
- Thirty (30) hours of approved CE are required.
